👉 We are now looking for a Governance Specialist & Executive Assistant to the General Counsel and Board of Directors to join Outokumpu’s Legal, Compliance & IPR team.
💼 The position is full-time and permanent starting preferably in late summer or early fall 2025. You will be based at Outokumpu’s headquarters in Salmisaari, Helsinki.

💻 In this position, your time will be divided approximately 50/50 between governance and administrative tasks.
On the governance side, your key responsibilities will include setting up and populating the corporate calendar for each calendar year, ensuring the meetings of key decision-making bodies (e.g., the Board of Directors, Board Committees, Leadership Team, and Shareholders’ Nomination Board) are scheduled and that their internal order follows the reporting and preparation cycle. You will also draft proposals for the annual plans and meeting agendas of the aforementioned decision-making bodies, handle meeting material coordination and distribution, draft preliminary meeting minutes, populate action logs, and ensure follow-up in subsequent meetings. Depending on your background and skillset, your responsibilities may also include tasks related to insider management. This side of your role will see you working in close collaboration with the General Counsel, CEO, CFO, and other high-level stakeholders within the company.
On the administrative side, you will assist the General Counsel in varied tasks, including managing their schedule and calendar, coordinating internal and external meetings, making travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, handling e-mail correspondence, and providing general team-related assistance. Further, you will act as a main point of contact for Outokumpu’s Board Members with respect to their administrative needs.
You may be the person we’re looking for if you:
🔹 have several years’ experience as an executive or legal assistant and are, ideally, familiar with handling governance matters (a suitable educational background, such as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, is considered a merit – as is experience working in a listed company and/or handling insider matters);
🔹 are a highly organised self-starter with a can-do attitude;
🔹 can prioritise effectively, think on your feet, and juggle multiple conflicting tasks;
🔹 thrive in a fast-paced, international environment;
🔹 are flexible and willing to work outside of regular office hours from time to time (e.g., in the lead-up to Board Meetings);
🔹 have strong people skills and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation; and
🔹 have excellent oral and written skills in Finnish and English (professional proficiency in additional languages – in particular, in Swedish or German – is an asset).
