👉 We are now looking for an Ethics and Compliance Manager to join Stora Enso’s Ethics and Compliance team of 6 people. In this new and diverse role, you will have a core function within the team by contributing to the development of ethics and compliance frameworks and tools.
💼 The position is full-time and permanent starting as soon as possible. Stora Enso’s office is located in the center of Helsinki, at Katajanokka, but you also have the opportunity to work remotely in accordance with Stora Enso’s hybrid working policy.

🌍 In this position, you will work closely with the Ethics and Compliance team, ensuring that the ethics and compliance framework is up to speed. Your day-to-day work will combine several critical supporting roles; you will be the person who knows best how compliance works within the company from an operative perspective. You understand the compliance routines, tools and solutions (e.g. customer screening and bribery investigations) and how they work and connect with each other organically. You are a proactive system improver, who can critically analyze the existing operational and technical methods and identify improvements. You maintain and enhance a proactive compliance program and ensure ongoing alignment with regulatory requirements. You share actively your insights and knowledge with the team and assist with the compliance and ethics implementation work. You are up to date on the latest tools and best practices and actively contribute to team knowledge-building initiatives. You will be part of the culture awareness building at Stora Enso by running different campaigns, improving the ethics and compliance culture and by increasing awareness among Stora Enso employees. Supported by the team, you will also be liaising with external stakeholders such as customers, accreditation agencies, auditors and sometimes even authorities and alike to address their questions about ethics and compliance in Stora Enso.
You may be the person we are looking for if:
🔹 you are truly interested in ethics and compliance matters and you have at least a few years of relevant experience within the compliance or ethics field, e.g. as a compliance coordinator or manager, legal assistant or paralegal;
🔹 you are proactive and you have great project management skills – you love to dive into different processes and develop them;
🔹 you have an open mindset and you are eager to try, learn and develop;
🔹 you have great process orientation and strong attention to detail; and
🔹 you have good IT-skills and great interpersonal and communication skills - excellent work proficiency in English and Finnish is required.
