Legal Trainees @ Stora Enso

👉 We are looking for two Legal Trainees to join Stora Enso’s Group Legal Services for a 12-month fixed term. The first Legal Trainee term is scheduled to start in January 2026 and the second in September 2026. You will be asked to indicate in connection with your application which term you are applying for or which term you would prefer. The position is full-time and based at Stora Enso’s headquarters in Katajanokka, Helsinki. Although this is a full-time role, there’s flexibility for you to attend lectures and exams when necessary.
In your day-to-day work, you will gain comprehensive insights into different areas of the legal function and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in Stora Enso. You will support legal counsels with a range of daily tasks, including conducting legal research, preparing corporate documents (for example AGM materials), and drafting, negotiating, and reviewing agreements (e.g., non-disclosure agreements). You will also work on compliance matters, including policy administration and contributions to AI-related projects.
This position is a perfect fit for a law student with:
✅ at least 180 credits of completed legal studies and a background in diverse legal tasks from previous internships;
✅ a proactive and self-driven approach to accomplishing tasks and an ability to learn quickly;
✅ an analytical mindset and the competence to prioritize conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast-paced environment; and
✅ strong communication skills – fluency in both written and oral English and Finnish is required.
