As a Legal Counsel you will support Nordex Group’s business functions with your legal expertise and act as an active business partner in the Nordic Region. In your day-to-day work you will negotiate, draft and review complex commercial agreements relating to the supply of wind turbines and ancillary works for wind farms, including associated maintenance agreements, sub-contracts, financing and collateral instruments. In addition, you will advise in questions related to construction and corporate law, claims and disputes, and monitor the regulatory landscape. You will also support Nordex Group’s Director Legal Nordics in developing the legal function and support in corporate governance matters, and provide legal trainings to the business and other functions of the Group.

The Nordic Legal Team operates under Nordex Group’s Europe Legal Team and consists of three professionals based in Helsinki, Finland and Uppsala, Sweden. The position will be based in Helsinki. You will report to the Director Legal Nordics. The position requires occasional travel within the Nordic countries.

This position is a perfect fit for a lawyer who has:

🎓 a master’s degree in law with three to five years of relevant post-graduate working experience preferably from a law firm or legal consultancy setting, or from an in-house legal department e.g. in the field of construction, engineering, machinery, energy or heavy industry;

🌿 previous experience from tasks related to construction law, land use, environmental law, corporate governance and/or contract law;

🏀 a proactive, meticulous and can-do attitude with a hands-on approach to work – you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get things going;

💪 a pragmatic and commercially oriented mindset combined with eagerness to add value to the business as a lawyer;

💚 a strong sense of belonging to an international multicultural team; and

🤝 solid interpersonal and communication skills – fluency in both written and oral English and either Finnish or Swedish is required.
