Epassi is a leading provider of employee benefit payments solutions in Finland, Sweden, UK & Ireland, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. Epassi employs close to 900 professionals. Epassi was established in Finland in 2007, and in 2008, the company was the first market player to launch a mobile-payable employee benefit payment solution in Europe. Epassi has grown its topline more than tenfold in the last five years. Epassi stands out from other companies by its consistently strong growth combined with high profitability.
In this role, you will work in group level compliance, taking ownership of selected areas within the compliance function. You will be responsible for assignments based on the annual compliance calendar, executing Epassi’s compliance plans and routines. The compliance policies are already in place, and your focus will be on updating and maintaining the existing ones, such as the whistleblowing policy, the code of conduct and the KYC guidelines. You will actively monitor regulations and make sure the necessary requirements are put into practice.
In addition, you will prepare various materials, including those needed for training purposes. You will also be responsible for conducting product assessments for Epassi’s new markets in Europe. You will regularly handle ad hoc tasks and assist your business colleagues in compliance-related matters.
You will join Epassi’s Compliance function, consisting of three team members, and work closely with Epassi’s Legal function. You will report to the Head of Compliance. The entire compliance team operates with a very hands-on mentality – ready-made answers are rarely available, so the approach is to interpret regulations, actively seek out information and provide well-thought-out solutions from all angles.
We are looking for an expert with:
✅ A master’s degree in law, combined with a few years of relevant experience in the financial sector;
âś… A strong knowledge of financial regulation, especially payment service and AML regulation;
✅ A proactive, can-do attitude – someone who takes initiative and approaches challenges with strong drive. This mindset is essential in a dynamic environment where flexibility and problem-solving skills drive success;
✅ A collaborative mindset – brainstorming with colleagues is a daily practice; and
✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills – fluency in Finnish and English (both written and spoken) is required.

📍 A hybrid work policy: Epassi’s HQ is located in Porkkalankatu, Helsinki and the company has a hybrid work policy giving employees the opportunity to work remote two days a week. Occasional & usually pre-planned travel may be required.
